Stainless Steel with tall backsplash and butterfly finish
This 18" integral backsplash with butterfly finish makes a distinctive design element in this kitchen. Also notice the easy-clean fully welded radius corners. The countertop deck is #3 finish, and the front edges are 1 1/2" channel edges. This type of edge turns down 1 1/2" and then back 1/2". The dimensions of the left side of the 'L' were small enough that we could fit this counter on a single sheet of metal and avoid the cost of a fully welded corner turn. Very tall backsplashes like this one touch the bottom side of the cabinets above, and care should be taken to ensure the countertop can be worked into position without jamming on the cabinets above.
