When we surf around on the internet, we always enjoy seeing
family enterprises. It gives us a glimpse of who the real
people are behind the company name and who we are really
buying from. We thought you might appreciate the same from
us, so here is a little about the Bentz family. The ski photos
were taken during a trip to Winterpark, Colorado one
our favorite vacation spots!

before it was cool! Metal fabrication lead designer since 1987.

assisting with shipping. He's a favorite with the shop folks.

at the University, but he still works in the shop every
chance he gets.

Pam Bentz
Runs the office, answers the phones, Mom to all the sons, dogs
(and maybe some of the employees, too!), and lifelong partner
to David. She keeps the jobs scheduled & tries to keep the
jobs leaving on time. In the office, on the phone, always there.
Erik Bentz
Currently studying Biology at the University, but he still works
in the office during the Summer and he always keeps a hand in the
family business. He's always ready to do whatever is needed and
remembers all the customers that got us started. Insisted on
getting credit for digging Pam's flower beds!
Darren Bentz
He's currently studying Mechanical Engineering at the University
and working in the office Summers, as well as Holidays. He
always has new ideas for the shop and loves working with Rodney,
our Engineer.
Our NEW Shop Dog - Grady
7 weeks old. We decided to get a Shelty because we had one before
that was really great. From the looks of things, he's going to be
a winner!
Grady - December 10th, 2007
There's a big field behind the shop where Grady loves to go chase
lizards, squirrels and birds. He surprised a deer back there last
year, and now he runs back there with great anticipation of
another encounter. He gets in the car in a hurry when we say,
"Let's go to the shop!"

And, last but not least is the dedicated staff of Handcrafted
Metal. We're standing in front of a really big vent
hood right before we shipped it out.
